The narrative centers on Yuri Gordeev, an ambitious aircraft designer who faces a tragic turn of events after a car accident leads to his death, transforming him into a ghost. Previously, he was on the brink of a significant achievement with his aircraft, the YG-1, designed to take off from a 100-meter runway. Meanwhile, seventh grader Ivan Kuznetsov, known as Vanya, struggles with personal challenges, including an overprotective mother and bullying from classmates. Vanya is the only person capable of seeing Yuri's ghost, and together they have one week for Yuri to complete his life's work.

Cast

Production Details

During the filming of Prizrak, actor Yan Tsapnik suffered a leg injury, which was subsequently incorporated into the film's script. The aircraft YG-1, designed by Yuri Gordeyev, was entirely created using computer graphics by the company Main Road Post, as real-life counterparts could not adequately represent the aircraft's unique features.

Cultural Significance

As a Russian comedy film, Prizrak reflects elements of contemporary Russian cinema while also contributing to the broader cultural landscape in Ukraine and neighboring regions. The film's themes of ambition, loss, and redemption resonate with audiences familiar with the challenges faced by individuals in post-Soviet states.
