Pavlo Mykolaiovich Zibrov is a prominent Ukrainian pop singer and songwriter, recognized as a People's Artist of Ukraine since 1996. He is particularly known for his collaboration on the song 'Khreshchatyk' with Yuriy Rybchynskyi.
Early Life
Pavlo Zibrov was born on 21 June 1957 in the village of Chervone, located in the Nemyriv Raion, which is now part of Haisyn Raion in Vinnytsia Oblast. He was raised in a family with a Russian father, Nikolai Ivanovich, and a Ukrainian mother, Hanna Kyrilivna, who worked as a teacher.
Education
Zibrov's education in music began in 1965 when he enrolled in the Kyiv Lysenko special music boarding school. He later graduated from the orchestra department of the Kiev State Conservatory of Tchaikovsky in 1981, followed by the vocal department in 1992.
Musical Career
From 1986 to 1993, Pavlo Zibrov served as a vocalist for the State Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. In 1994, he established his own Pavlo Zibrov Theater of Song and began teaching at the department of pop singing at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts.
Recognition
Zibrov was honored with the title of People's Artist of Ukraine in 1996, acknowledging his contributions to the Ukrainian music scene.
