Oksana Baiul was born on November 16, 1977, in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. Raised primarily by her mother, Marina, a French teacher, and her maternal grandparents, Baiul also has Romanian-Jewish and Russian ancestry.

Move to the United States
